ASUS Back-to-School Filming Event

A few months ago, the Renegade Esports team sent in a video to Asus for their “Extreme PC Makeover Challenge.” We shared our incredible journey from 0 to 400 members, and… We won! As a result, Asus teamed up with @Andie_the_Lab* (on IG) to send Andie out to Newark to build the PC on campus and document our entire story of the last 6 months.

ASUS went above and beyond our wildest dreams and gave us 7 gaming PCS. These PCS exceed the specs we ever expected, and now we are able to host events, tournaments, and scrims on campus!

We are so so so grateful to ASUS sharing the love for our school. Please show them some love in any way possible. Special thanks to the videographers who spent the weekend with us @Andie_the_Lab and Brock from Starforge!

Announcements for September

Over the summer, the Ohlone Renegade Esports club progressed significantly, and we will continue the tempo during this school year! For the upcoming month of September, let’s be excited for the following events!

Sneak Peek at our Minecraft Server with Bisect Hosting

Over the past few months, Daniel and Vania dedicated countless hours to build a beautiful Minecraft server for our club!

This modded server is open to all club members! We plan for the Minecraft server to be up and running by the last week of September. More information will be posted in a week or two—Please join our discord and stay tuned!

Here are a couple quick peeks around the server that’s hosted by Bisect Hosting! These were created entirely by Daniel and Vania~ Let’s show them some love and appreciation in any way possible!

Due to the community’s support for the esports club, Ohlone has created a late start class! The best way to support the club is enrollment. The more enrollment we have, the more we can do as a department and program.

San Jose Guildhouse and Redbull

Over the summer, our League and Valorant teams have been practicing over at @guildhouseSJ, huge thanks to them and @redbullgaming!

Beta Keys Giveaways

In this year, Ohlone Renegade Esports received numerous beta keys to giveaway to our club members!

TheoryCraft games (a studio made up of primarily ex Riot Games developers) officially released the closed beta of the game “SuperVive” they have been working on for 3+ years. This game is intentionally developed to be a competitive esports title — high hopes they succeed!

We received 24 beta keys in total! Congratulations to the giveaway winners, and thank you TheoryCraft!

Our friends at Marvel also gave us 5 beta codes for their new game “Marvel Rivals” to giveaway to the discord in May 2024. Thank you Marvel!
